We Asked, You Said, We Did

Here are some of the issues we have consulted on and their outcomes. See all outcomes

We asked

We consulted with tenants and leaseholders on which parts of our services to them as their Landlord are most important to them.  This was to help us to draft a new set of Customer Standards.

You said

The parts of our service which matter most to people are:

  • Housing repairs
  • Safety and quality of housing
  • Keeping estates clean and tidy
  • Dealing with breaches of tenancy
  • Dealing with complaints
  • Being easy to contact for queries and issues
  • Being professional and treating customers with respect

We did

We are now drafting a new set of Customer Standards based on these priorities which tenants and leaseholders have given us.  We will be consulting on these new draft standards in July, with a group of tenants and leaseholders who have volunteered to be part of a Review Group for the new standards.  Once finalised, the new Standards will be launched and shared with all tenants and leaseholders.

We asked

We initially consulted on BT’s proposal to remove 25 payphones in the Sheffield Area from 5 November to 16 December 2020.  A further consultation was then undertaken from 23 December 2020 to 22 January 2021 on a ‘First Notification’ draft decision.

You said

We received five comments on the initial consultation and two comments on the ‘First Notification’ draft decision.

We did

We have now issued a ‘Final Notification’ which is our final decision on whether to object or consent to the removal of the payphone equipment at the 25 proposed locations across the city.

A copy of the final notification can be seen below.

We asked

We consulted on the application by the Broomhill, Broomfield, Endcliffe, Summerfield & Tapton (BBEST) Neighbourhood Forum to renew the designation of the forum for a further 5 years as required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended). This is to allow the forum to continue the process of preparing a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the BBEST Neighbourhood Area.

You said

We received 9 comments on the consultation. These were taken into consideration in making the designation.

We did

On 24 January 2020 the Interim Head of Planning designated the neighbourhood forum for a further period of 5 years.  The forum can continue working towards completion and referendum on their neighbourhood plan.

Details on the designation can be read in the decision report which is available on our website:
