Adult Weight Management Support - Consultation

Closes 28 Mar 2023

Opened 9 Feb 2023

Results expected 28 Apr 2023

Overview

Sheffield City Council (Public Health) commission Weight Management Support for the city.

Weight Management services/programmes are usually delivered by a local community weight management service, and they support people to lose or maintain weight, whilst developing healthier habits.

Our existing Adult Weight Management contract ends 31st March 2024, and ahead of a competitive tender process to recommission a similar service, Sheffield City Council are beginning to consult with a wide range of stakeholders, including the public.

Who can respond to the consultation?

  • Anyone who has accessed support to manage their weight in the past, or;

  • may be interested in accessing weight management support in the future, or;

  • Has been told by their GP that they are living with overweight or obesity

Weight can be a sensitive topic for many people - if you want to leave the survey at any point, you can do. All responses are also anonymous.

Why your views matter

By filling out this survey, you will be providing us with important insight into what support would be most useful and appropriate. You will be helping us commission and shape a service that is most effective and suited to your needs.
