ICES Retender - Prescriber Survey

Closed 22 Oct 2019

Opened 3 Oct 2019

Overview

Sheffield City Council and NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group currently commission the British Red Cross to deliver the Integrated Community Equipment Service. Last year over 17,000 people in Sheffield were provided with at least one piece of community equipment such as: a walking frame, hoist, hospital bed or commode. Community equipment provided at the right time and in the right way supports people to remain independent at home for longer and can help to prevent unplanned hospital admissions and re-admission and facilitate a more timely hospital discharge.

Why We Are Consulting

We are looking to redesign a new Community Equipment Service which will start on the 1st July 2020. We feel that you as prescribers are the experts in terms of community equipment and have a wealth of intelligence about the current service; in terms of what has worked and what needs to be improved. We would really welcome your views which will help to shape the new offer and ensure the service is good quality, more sustainable and better meets the needs of local people.

If you would like to discuss the survey, or other ways to give your feedback, then please contact either Liz McGrael or Sharon Honeycombe on:

Tel: (0114) 205 2926

Email: CES@sheffield.gov.uk

We really value your feedback, so thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

What Happens Next

Next Steps: Once the survey has closed we will collate and analyse all the feedback. We wil also use prescriber feedback from previous ICES surveys, to ensure that all previous recommendations are considered.  We will use your feedback to develop the specification for the new service. If you would like more information on how your feedback will be used or would be interested in reviewing and commenting on the service specification before we go out to tender then please feel free to get in touch on (0114) 205 2926 or email: CES@sheffield.gov.uk
