Overview
Right First Time Citizens Reference Group
There are a number of partnership projects working with citizens across Sheffield, to transform the way health and social care is delivered. These include integrated commissioning, the Better Care Fund and the Prime Minister’s Challenge Fund.
The aims of the projects are to ensure all Sheffield’s residents live longer and healthier lives and are supported in their local community wherever possible. The approach to health and wellbeing will be lifelong, personalised and preventative and will recognise the contribution of non-paid carers. Services will need to change the way they work in order to support these aims.
How can you get involved?
- We need you to help us by joining a Citizens Reference Group.
- The group tests ideas, has representatives on project boards and advises on how citizens should influence decisions about health and social care.
Meetings will take place at Sheffield Town Hall Reception Rooms on:
- 16 September 2015, 1pm to 4pm.
- 10 November 2015, 1pm to 4pm.
- 24 February 2016, 10am to 1pm.
Places are limited so you will need to book a place.
- If you can’t get to meetings or would prefer to contribute in a different way eg by phone or email, please do get in touch. We will try to involve you in a way that suits you.
- We can also offer expenses of you need transport or a personal assistant to attend meetings.

Why your views matter
We are consulting to ensure citzesn across Sheffield are able to shape how health and social care services are designed and delivered.
We meet regularly to make sure citizens voices are heared and acted upon.
