End of SAR/LLR Survey

Closes 1 Jul 2031

Opened 30 Jun 2021

Overview

Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) may be undertaken when an adult at risk of abuse dies or is seriously injured and abuse and / or neglect is suspected or known to be a factor, and there is concern that partner agencies could have worked more effectively to protect the adult. These reviews are a statutory duty under the Care Act 2014 and the outcomes and lessons learnt should be published. Lessons Learnt Reviews may be undertaken if a case does not meet the SAR requirements, but it is deemed important lessons could still be identified, although these are not statutory.

This survey is completed by review authors at the end of the review period so that the Sheffield Safeguarding Adults Partnership can systematically collect review information and data to improve analysis and learning, and ultimately outcomes for adults at risk.
