Expression of Interest - VCS Covid Recovery Fund

Closed 10 Nov 2021

Opened 20 Oct 2021

Overview

The last 18 months have been an incredibly challenging time for us all and Sheffield’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) continues to play a vital role in the city’s ongoing response to Covid-19. The Council is aware that the VCS is facing a range of financial pressures as a direct result of the challenges of the pandemic and is considering how best to support the Sector financially.

The Council is considering a possible VCS Covid Recovery Fund and it is essential that we fully understand the types of financial pressures and gaps in funding that the Sector is facing.  The key aim of any Fund would be to help organisations facing financial pressures that, left unresolved, would impact on their service delivery or organisational viability.

We know that it might not be the size of the financial gap that’s the critical issue, it might be the type of income that’s been affected or the specific nature of the work you’re trying to cover the costs of that’s particularly challenging. What we need is information about the financial pressures that are critical to your organisation.

This Expression of Interest Form is not an application for funding, but it is essential that groups who think they might benefit from funding of this kind complete it, so we understand the needs of the Sector and likely demand for a Fund of this kind. Please note that if a VCS Covid Recovery Fund is launched applicants will need to complete the Fund’s application form irrespective of whether they completed this Expression of Interest.

It may be helpful for you to have your financial information with you to help you complete this survey.
