100% agreement with replant species

All 6 respondents live on the same street as the tree

This tree was referred to the Street Tree Partnership given the high objection rate to the replanting location.

Consensus was agreed that works should proceed but that Amey should change the replanting location to find another location on the same street to reflect consultee feedback.

Works were therefore approved to progress on this basis.

An Acer pseudoplatanus (commonly known as a Sycamore tree) has been identified for replacement outside 21 Moorbank Road due to Kretzschmaria decay.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts advises that due to this Kretzschmaria decay of the lower trunk and buttresses, the tree should be replaced.

Further information on Kretzschmaria fungi can be found at:

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Pinus silvestris (Pine tree). This is goinb to be relocated to be opposite 47 Coldwell Lane due to the drystone wall and steep banking in the original space.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at:
