Overview

An  Acer pseudoplatanus, (commonly known as a Sycamore tree) has been identified outside 367 Ecclesall Road as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is in very poor physiological condition and has deteriorated significantly since the last safety survey.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Ulmus "Rebona" Dutch Elm Disease Resistant Cultivar of the Elm tree in the same location as the original tree.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
