Overview

A Sorbus aucuparia (commonly known as a Rowan tree) has been identified outside 37 Redmires Road as being dead

Following an assessment carried out by our tree experts a recommendation has been made to remove the tree.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Pinus pinea (Stone Pine). It will be planted outside 47 in order to give the new tree the best chance of establishment given the overshading from existing trees in the original location.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
