100% agreement with replant species.
Planned works have now been cancelled with a view to re-consult on this tree in 2022.
An Acer pseudoplatanus (commonly known as a Sycamore Maple) has been identified outside 97-99 Moonshine Lane as being in terminal decline/dying.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree has poisoned and it is believed the tree is in terminal decline.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Acer campestre (Field Maple), which will be planted in the same location outside 97-99 Moonshine Lane with a cage.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
