Overview

A Prunus serrula (commonly known as a Cherry tree) has been identified on Abbeydale Park Rise outside number 94 as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that the tree only has one branch remaining alive and is in terminal decline.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Magnolia kobus (Kobushi magnolia) which will be located centrally in the verge outside 94 (same as the previous tree).

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
