There were no responses to this consultation, works will therefore proceed as planned to replace the tree.
A Liquidambar styraciflua (commonly known as a Sweet Gum tree) has been identified outside 407-409 Arbourthorne Road as being dead
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Gleditsia triacanthos (Honey Locust), which will be planted in the same location as the original tree
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
