Feedback expected 9 Sep 2022

There were 2 responses to this consultation

100% agreement with fell
100% agreement with replant location
100% disagreement with replanting species

This was therefore discussed with the Street Tree Partnership

As the replacement tree species meets the strategic objectives of the Street Tree Partnership Strategy and is appropriate to the location, works will proceed as planned

A Sorbus aucuparia (Rowan Tree) has been identified on Blackbrook Drive outside 7 as being structurally unstable.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts advises that the base of the tree is decayed and hollowing and the tree is now moving in ground. The crown of the tree is dying back

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Magnolia kobus (Magnolia tree) in the same location as the original tree.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at:
