Overview

A Prunus avium (commonly known as a Wild Cherry) has been identified on Crowder Road adjacent to bus stop number 603759 as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that the tree Tree is in significant physiological decline

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Cedrus atlantica (Atlas cedar) in the centre of the large verge at the junction of Southey Avenue and Crowder Avenue.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
