A Malus species (commonly known as a Crab apple tree) has been identified on Cruise Road, outside number 84 as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree has Ganoderma sp. decay of the base and is a poor specimen.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Cercis siliquastrum (Judas tree) which will be located in an 800mm tree pit outside 84 (same as previous tree).
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
