A Sorbus aria (commonly known as a Whitebeam) has been identified on Deerlands Avenue outside nymber 323 as dying.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that the tree Tree is dying and has Multiple Ganoderma fruiting bodies at the base of the tree.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Carpinus betulus (common hornbeam) in the verge opposite number 309.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
