A Pinus nigra martitima (Corsican Pine) has been identified on Ecclesall Road outside Broomcroft Care as being structurally unstable.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts advises that the tree is steadily uprooting and slowing collapsing into the adjacent tree.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Sequoiadendron giganteum (Giantt Sequoia) which will be relocated by around 200 metres down the road to the grass verge outside 398 - 400, clear from the overshading of surrounding tree canopies to give the new tree the best possible chance of establishment.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
