Work will proceed as planned.
A Acer pseudoplatanus (commonly known as a sycamore maple) has been identified on Elliot Lane 25m of a farm path as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Morus nigra (Common mulberry tree), which will be planted in the grass verge at the junction of Alport Place and Alport Avenue.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
