A Sorbus aucuparia (commonly known as a Rowan tree) has been identified on Findon Road, outside number 62 as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Syringa reticulata (Japanese lilac tree) in the same place as the original tree, outside 62.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
