We initially consulted on BTs proposals to remove the telephone service at the junction of Tom Lane and Fulwood Road, Nether Green from 21 May to 1 July 2019.  A further consultation was then undertaken from 8 July to 7 August 2019 on a ‘First Notification’ draft decision to object to the proposal.

We received 0 comments in the initial consultation and 0 comments on the ‘First Notification’ draft decision.

We did

We have now issued a ‘Final Notification’ which is our final decision to not object to the proposed removal of the service at the junction of Tom Lane and Fulwood Road.

After considering the comments from this consultation, Sheffield City Council has now sent its Final Decision to the Secretary of State and BT, please see attached the Final Notification for details.

Overview

Ant Kids Charity would like to take ownership of this telephone kiosk under BT’s adopt a kiosk programme.  Further details can be found at www.payphones.bt.com

BT are therefore proposing to remove the payphone service at this location.  (Irrespective of the outcome of the consultation, the payphone equipment would not be removed if Antkids charity did not proceed with the adoption).

Why your views matter
