Overview

A Sorbus aucuparia (commonly known as a Rowan) has been identified on Greenhill Parkway, in the area at the top of atlantic road opposite reney avenue as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that the tree is in very poor condition and is dying/virtually dead.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Quercus robur (English Oak) in a similar position to the original tree in the middle of the wide verge.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
