Closed 5 Nov 2021

Opened 22 Oct 2021

Feedback expected 9 Nov 2021

Results updated 3 Dec 2021

100% agreement with felling

100% disagreement with replanting location

100% agreement with replant species

This tree was deferred to the Street Tree Partnership due to the high level of objection to the proposed replanting location

The tree will be relocated to outside 21 Greystones Hall Road to fulfil a community request for tree planting

Works will therefore proceed as planned with a revised replanting location

Overview

An Ulmus (commonly known as an Elm Tree) has been identified outside 35 High Storrs Road as being dead

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is dead.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Gleditsia triacanthos (Honey Locust) in the same location as the original tree.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
