Overview

A Sorbus aucuparia (commonly known as a Rowan Tree) has been identified on Hill Top Crescent outside 32 as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree had half of its crown dead,  the trunk was decaying and the tree is likely to fail

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Ulmus 'Rebona' (Dutch Elm Disease Resistant Elm Tree) which will be relocated to the grassed verge on Thorpe Green outside the Hawk and Dove pub- relocated due to original tree being in close proximity to garden fencing.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
