Overview

A Fraxinus excelsior (commonly known as a Common ash) has been identified on Hutcliffe Wood Road opposite number 95 as dying.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that the tree has Ash dieback.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Ulmus 'New Horizon' (Elm Tree) in the verge outside number 95, opposite the original tree location in order to avoid the closed canopy.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
