An Ulmus (commonly known as an Elm Tree) has been identified on Langsett Road North opposite 16 Newstead Avenue as being dead
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Ulmus "Rebona" which is a Dutch Elm Disease resistant cultivar of the Elm tree.
This will be relocated to the triangular grassed verge opposite 2 Bedford Road (Oughtibridge, not the Bedford Road at Upperthorpe)
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
