Overview

A Prunus sp (commonly known as a Cherry Tree) has been identified outside 11 Meadow Head Avenue as being in terminal decline (dying).

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was in terminal decline amd very poor physiological condition

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Cornus mas (Cornelian Cherry Tree) in the same location as the original tree.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
