Overview

An Ulmus (commonly known as an Elm Tree) has been identified on New Road near Dungworth as being dead.

As this is a rural location, to help identfiication, the X Y Coordinates are:

X: 426797
Y: 391409

The What 3 Words Location for these coordinates is: spared.deeply.intervals

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree is dead.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Morus nigra (Black Mulberry), which will be planted in the triangular verge outside 9-11 Silkstone Drive due to the drystone wall at the original location

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
