Overview

A Fraxinus excelsior (commonly known as an Ash tree) has been identified on Oaks Lane outside Windhill Farm as being affected by Ash Dieback.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree has Ash dieback and it is believed the tree is in terminal decline.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Pinus sylvestris, which will be planted in the verge uphill from number 74 on the same road due to the original location not being suitable for replanting.

Why we are consulting

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
