Overview

A Malus (Apple tree) has been identified on Peterborough Road at the side of number 1 Peterborough Close as being structurally unstable.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts identified that there was decay of the base and stem

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Alnus x spaethii (Alder tree) in the verge outside number 1 Peterborough Close (opposite no. 50).

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
