A Prunus Kanzan (commonly known as a Cherry tree) has been identified on Skelton Lane, opposite the library as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine), which will be relocated to a verge near the junction with Skelton Lane and Water Slacks Road.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
