Overview

A Prunus Kanzan (commonly known as a Cherry tree) has been identified outside 12 St Albans Close, S10 as decaying and has become structurally compromised.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree has extensive White Rot of the stem and is in a poor condition.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Cercis siliquastrum tree (Judas Tree) in the same location as the previous tree.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/FINAL-Sheffield-Street-Tree-Partnership-Working-Strategy-July-2020.pdf
