Consultation About Tree Dying on Storrs Lane S6 (our reference 12042884)

Closed 27 Aug 2021

Opened 6 Aug 2021

Results expected 30 Aug 2021

Feedback expected 31 Aug 2021

A Fraxinus excelsior (commonly known as an Ash tree) has been identified on Storrs Lane as being affected by Ash Dieback.

An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree has Ash dieback and it is believed the tree is in terminal decline.

Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with an Quercus Robur (Common Oak), which will be planted opposite 41 Athersley Gardens on Moorthopre Way in the large verge due to the original location not being suitable for replanting.

Why your views matter

The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the draft Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Working Strategy.  This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.

A copy of the draft strategy is available at:
