A Prunus Kanzan (commonly known as a Cherry tree) has been identified opposite number 7 Tetney Road as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Cornus mas (Cornelian cherry dogwood) opposite number 5 Tetney Road, close to the location of the original tree.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
