A Quercus robur (commonly known as an Oak Tree) has been identified on Whirlowdale Road outside 465 as being dead
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was virtually dead with only minor epicormic growth remaining.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Platanus x hispanica (London plane) in the nearby open verge, close to the location of the original tree.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
