100% agreement with all items. Works will proceed as planned.
A Quercus sp (commonly known as an Oak Tree) has been identified on Whirlow Park Road opposite number 13, opposite street lighting column 6, as being dead.
An assessment carried out by our tree experts noticed that the tree was completely dead.
Once removed, we propose to replace the tree with a Davidia involucrata (Pocket handkerchief tree) in the nearby open verge, close to the location of the original tree.
The Sheffield Tree Partnership have developed the Sheffield Street Tree Partnership Strategy. This sets out our commitment to explain to local residents the reasons behind decisions to remove trees, and provide the opportunity to challenge these decisions through an open and transparent process.
A copy of the strategy is available at: https://www.wildsheffield.com/getinvolved/sheffield-street-tree-partnership/street-tree-strategy/
